Six years ago, I knew nothing of Nigeria, nothing of the culture or the people. Then an incident happened during a very difficult time of my life. I could have turned the incident into a negative clouding my views of the world or I could have turned it into a positive. Thank God, that I chose the latter. Through it, I made some friends that have truly impacted my life and are still a part of my life. Through it, I also was shown that there truly are still beautiful people in this world. It allowed me to find my soulmate, the person in which, without I would not be half the person I am today. On October 9th, I married a person who if I had never gone through that difficult time six years ago, I would have most likely have never met.
